 Leading the way in green design for modern community facilities - Antigonish Project Details
From opening day in early summer 2011 the Antigonish Library has become much more than just a place to get books, but a centre point of the community. Being garnished with the name “People Place” and located in the heart of the town enables many stake holders to utilize the space. The Library is not only used for public internet access, child and adult education programs and writing workshops, but also by public leaders - using energy and space wisely. This structure contains ground source heating, solar domestic water heating and electric generation photovoltaic system all designed by A. H. Roy.
