The Port Hawkesbury 12 Bed Nursing Home Addition is a spacious modern facility integrated into the existing nursing home and has an open concept with a modern kitchen a a well lit living area with natural lighting. It has a court yard which separates the new from the old. It is complete with seating areas, pathways and an abundance of plants. The mechanical/electrical systems provide for a comfortable environment with a new air handling system in a mezzanine area and a spa area with easily accessible showers and tubs. Energy efficient lighting has been designed to give the patrons a feeling of home. A modern nurse call system has been provided and integrated into the system for the existing building. This building addition can be rated with any other senior care facility in the province. A.H. Roy combined with Nycum & Associates who were the architects and Dora Construction, the builder, to deliver this project to our client “The MacLeod Group”.
