 Modern facility for cultural performances and education - Guysborough Project Details
The Chedabucto Place Performance Centre was completed in 2005 and has been described acoustically as one of the best theatres in the province. It seats 300 people, which includes a 50 seat balcony creating a cozy atmosphere where every seat in the house offers and optimal view. AH Roy & Associates designed the mechanical ventilation system to minimize air-flow noise by extending longer ductwork from the unit and by adding silencers in the supply ducts. the electrical systems include a state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and sound system with control consoles at the control booth for both systems. Tourtech East was instrumental in providing equipment and technical assistance for these systems. The theatre is one of a number of such venues that AH Roy and Associates has been involved with as mechanical and electrical consultants. Project Partners
