The award winning Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre was an mechanical design milestone for the Northern Nova Scotia region. A. H. Roy was a major contributor to the mechanical design of the heat pump based ice surface cooling system. A. H. Roy also provided mechanical and electrical design for the rest of the facility.
